Conference record · 1852 October General Conference · 1852-10-06
Deseret News minutes of the October 6-10, 1852 General Conference, covering attendance, sustainings, mission calls, and short remarks by elders. Brigham Young's October 6 afternoon remarks, Heber C. Kimball's October 7 'Going South' and October 8 'Blessings of Faithfulness' discourses, Kimball's October 9 'Materials for the Temple' discourse, and Young's October 9 'Management of the Canyons' discourse are all filed separately as full talks (corrected during heavyweight review; a prior pass of this note incorrectly claimed three of these were not yet transcribed). Remarks by Orson Hyde, John Taylor, George A. Smith, Wilford Woodruff, Franklin D. Richards, Erastus Snow, Lorenzo Snow, and others across the five-day conference are NOT yet transcribed into this vault and remain open work for a future ingestion pass.

Heavyweight pass: this conference-record file claimed Kimball's 'Going South' and 'Blessings of Faithfulness' discourses and Young's 'Management of the Canyons' discourse were not yet transcribed, when all three already exist as separate talk files (along with the already-cross-referenced 'Materials for the Temple' and Young's October 6 Temple/wheat remarks) — corrected the fidelity_notes and added missing '(filed separately)' tags inline. Did not re-verify the sustaining-vote roster or full day-by-day narrative against the original Deseret News scan (newspapers.lib.utah.edu returns HTTP 418 to automated fetch, a known tooling limitation); those sections are unchanged from the prior pass.
This is a living critical edition. If you find a transcription, metadata, or sourcing error in this talk, report it to the editors →Reports are collated against the page scan and land as corrections in the vault.
