Collation history

Proofread against the source text.

Light review: in-context proofread and spacing fixes.

Collated word-by-word against the original scan.

Heavyweight pass: fetched all three JSP pages spanning pp.185-187 (paper-summary/minutes-and-discourse-3-5-october-1840/1 through /3) and collated the full text word-for-word. Fixed one fidelity slip: 'John C. Bennett, M. D. then spoke' had dropped the manuscript's own abbreviation bracket 'J[ohn] C. Bennett' used everywhere else this name is abbreviated in the source. Otherwise an exact match throughout, including every committee appointment and the closing signatures. Metadata confirmed accurate.
